About the Artist

Award winning artist, Samantha Hultgren attended
North Shore Community College, Leslie College and Fitchberg State University,
in Massachusetts, earning her Associates Degree (1986) and Bachelor Degree (1991).

Samantha relocated to Charlotte County, Florida where she's lived and worked since 1988.
She retired in 2001 and in May of 2002, she began studying acrylic, collage,
pencil drawing and water color with local teachers and artists.

"Sam" participates in the Bi-annual "Pleim Aire Art Fest" where one of her paintings won "Honorable Mention".

Her work can be seen at the Arts and Humanities "Art in Public Places",
at the visual Arts Center of Charlotte County and local doctors offices and businesses in the community.

She painted 2 red fish as part of the Fish are Jumpin Fund raiser for the United Way
in connection with the 2004 "oh Boy Oberto Redfish Cup in Punta Gorda, Florida
